May 10th VE Day 75th Celebrations – Free entry

Join us in Leek’s historic town centre as we go back to 1945. Our Victorian trestle market building will become a ‘NAAFI’ with music, a pop-up bar, our fantastic WI groups, traditional children’s games and lots more.

Opening out into Silk St, and surrounded by historic buildings, the outdoor area will be full of stalls, classic vehicles, music, dancers and food areas. Top acts for the day include our local duo; The Lady and the Tramp (photo) and the fabulous Honeybirds, a vocal swing trio.

Swing ‘n Oatcakes

There will be a mass Jive dancing event and lots of competitions for best dress. The pubs that back onto the area will be joining in the fun and of course there will be the traditional North Staffordshire oatcakes on sale, courtesy of our friends at Cheddleton Oatcakes !

The area is literally 100 yards from Leek’s town centre with it’s many pubs and cafes so why not make a day of it? There is ample parking around the town.
