Members of Leek Town Council have reaffirmed their commitment to continue backing the Fairtrade resolution. Leek first became a Fairtrade town in 2007.
The volunteer steering group is co-ordinated by Cllr Susan Coleman.
“The purpose is to demonstrate that Leek actively supports and promotes the concept of Fairtrade – ensuring that local and developing producers get a fair price for the products and services,” explains Cllr Coleman.
“We want to encourage the use and purchase of all Faitrade products across all local businesses and commercial as well as local government offices.”
