In January, Cllr. Sue Coleman, Leek Town Mayor attended a presentation of work by graduates from Leek School of Art. The photo was taken with Carrie Pletscher in front of one of her amazing paintings titled “Kassia, with “Justice Damask”. Carrie has produced a series of paintings centered around the historical artists’ muse. This example features one of her daughters and the pose is borrowed from a 16th century portrait of Henry VIII.
